If redesigning sites is what you do rather than something you're doing once, the useful properties are different: speed to first draft, editability, and output you can hand over.

For a freelancer or a small studio, the constraint isn't design ability — it's how many hours a project can absorb before it stops being profitable. Generation is most valuable at the two ends of that: the first draft and the handover.
The first draft is the expensive one
Getting from a client's existing site to something concrete enough to react to is disproportionately slow. Clients cannot brief in the abstract; they respond to pages.
Generating three directions from their live URL before the kickoff call changes the conversation from "what do you want" to "which of these". That conversation is shorter, and it produces a better brief.
Editable, so it survives feedback
A first draft is only useful if it can absorb the client's response. The visual editor handles direct changes; the AI editor takes instructions in plain language, which maps well onto the way feedback actually arrives.
That means the generated draft is a starting point you develop rather than a demo you replace with real work.
Handover as code
Delivering HTML and CSS or React components means the project ends with an artefact the client owns, rather than a dependency on your account.
It also keeps you out of the position of being the only person who can change their site — which is comfortable for about a year and a liability after that.
Common questions
Can I use the output in client work?
The export is standard code you deliver like any other front-end work. Check the current terms for anything specific to your arrangement.
Will a client know it was generated?
It comes from their own content and gets edited by you, so it looks like their site rather than a recognisable template.
Does it help with pitching?
That's arguably where it earns most — arriving at a pitch with three redesigns of the prospect's actual homepage is a different proposition from arriving with a portfolio.
Can I apply a house style?
Generate first, then push it toward your system in the editors. The generated page is a draft, not a fixed template.
Run a prospect's homepage through it before your next pitch and see what it does to the conversation.
