A page with traffic is a page with data. Revamping it should mean generating a credible alternative and testing it — not replacing something that might have been working.

Redesigning a landing page that's already receiving traffic is a different exercise from designing one. You have evidence, and throwing it away by replacing the page wholesale is the most common way a revamp loses money.
Generate a challenger, not a replacement
The safe move is to treat the revamped page as a challenger to the current one rather than its successor. Generate it from the live URL so the content matches, then run the two against each other.
Because generation is cheap, this is now practical for pages whose traffic wouldn't have justified a design project.
Change enough to learn something
The counterpart risk is a revamp so timid it teaches you nothing. Moving a button and adjusting a shade produces a result you can't interpret.
A generated alternative differs structurally — different emphasis, different section order, different visual weight — which is what makes the comparison informative.
Keep the parts with evidence behind them
If you know your testimonial block lifts conversion, or that a particular headline outperformed three others, carry those forward deliberately.
Generation works from your live page, so they come across by default — but they're worth checking rather than assuming, because they're the parts you've already paid to learn.
Common questions
Should I replace my landing page or test the new one?
Test, if the current page has meaningful traffic. Replace only when the existing page is clearly failing or the traffic is too low for a test to conclude.
Will a revamp keep my tracking?
No — analytics and conversion tracking scripts need adding to the exported page as part of your deployment.
How different should the challenger be?
Different enough that the result is interpretable. Small cosmetic changes rarely produce a readable difference.
Can I revamp several campaign pages at once?
Yes, each is a separate run from its own URL.
Generate a challenger from your live page and let the test decide.
