"Free" in this market usually means a watermark, an export you can't use, or a trial that ends before you've learned anything. It's worth saying which kind this is.
The libraries are genuinely free
The section library — thousands of Tailwind components across heroes, pricing, FAQ, footers and the rest — and the full-page theme library are browsable and copyable without paying.
For a lot of small redesign jobs that alone is sufficient: find the hero you want, take the code, replace the one you have. No generation involved.
Generation you can evaluate before committing
You can point the generator at your own page and look at the result, which is the only test that tells you anything. Vendor demo sites are selected to look good.
Check current plan limits for what generation volume and export are included — those change, and this page is the wrong place to quote numbers that might be stale.
Where free stops being the right question
If you're redesigning one page once, free is likely to cover it. If you're doing this across a portfolio or repeatedly for clients, the honest calculation is time rather than licence cost.
Worth being clear-eyed either way: a tool that saves an afternoon a week isn't competing with free, it's competing with the afternoon.
Common questions
Is the section library really free to use?
Yes — browse, preview and copy the code. It's the part of the platform that requires nothing from you.
Will my redesign have a watermark?
The exported markup is ordinary HTML and CSS. Check the current plan page for what each tier includes.
Do I need a credit card to start?
Browsing the libraries needs nothing. Saving and exporting generated work requires an account; the plan page is authoritative on what that costs.
What's the catch with free tools like this?
Usually the export. Check that what you can take away is standard code you can host yourself — here it is, and it's a fair thing to verify before relying on any tool.
Start with the section library — it costs nothing and often solves the problem outright.
